Chosen charity
Forty four members and guests attended the Club’s annual Presentation of Cups and Trophies in the club house on Saturday, 12th October 2013. Chairman, Colin Rudrum, welcomed everyone present to a very pleasant evening that began with a most enjoyable three course meal efficiently served by Faye and her team of helpers.
The presentation of cups and trophies by Gillian Rudrum followed, with Colin Rudrum congratulating the club on another very successful season of bowls. In congratulating the prize winners Colin said that they can be very proud of their individual achievements and of their club for the excellent facilities it now provides.
A raffle was held during the evening that successfully raised £70 to be put towards the children’s Christmas party. Thanks are expressed to Dave Doody and Paul Collier for re-arranging and setting up the tables and chairs for the meal and to Dave Doody and Colin Rudrum for their work in pre-arranging and documenting the cups and trophies in their correct presentation order for the evening. The President also wishes to add his thanks to the Club’s “David Bailey” for all the photos taken during the evening, many of which appear here.
