Presidents Day Thank you
Colin would like to thank all the members who made this year’s Presidents Day a big success.
51 members enjoyed an excellent Buffet Lunch prepared by his wife Gillian and the ladies, a Doubles Bowling competition organized by the Club Captain Dave Doody, and a Buffet Tea of sandwiches and cakes made by the Ladies.
The team work of the members rolling their sleeves up and washing up afterwards was most appreciated.
The Presidents Day Trophy was closely fought for with the final being contested by Dale Rudrum & Ken Trumper against Bill Titley & John Morris, with the victors being Dale & Ken. This completed a very successful weekend for Dale by beating Chester Road in the Premier League on Friday Night, beating them again in the final of the County Cup at Pontesbury on Saturday, and then partnering Ken in the Final of the Presidents Day Trophy donated in the memory of past member Ron Armstrong.
This weekend will be talked about and bragged about for many years and we should all be proud how our members have stamped their authority in the county, we are no longer also-rans we are winners, well done for making me proud of you all.
